Data Analyst

APS is a distressed assets investment company and debt recovery platform with a prime position in Central and South-Eastern Europe and further expansion goals. Our business consists of acquiring, advising, and servicing non-performing loan (NPL) portfolios.

For our IT team, we are looking for a new colleague for the position of Data Analyst.

What will you do?

  • Investigate and document the data architecture within the organization, including data sources, storage mechanisms, and data flows among systems.
  • Collect, clean, and preprocess data from various sources to ensure accuracy, completeness, and reliability.
  • Analyze large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and correlations that can inform decision-making and process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain databases and data systems necessary for projects and analysis, ensuring data integrity and security.
  • Create insightful reports and visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders and facilitate data-driven decision-making.
  • Collaborate with teams across the organization to understand business needs and provide data-driven solutions.
  • Assemble proposals for enhancements or optimizations based on data analysis, including changes to data infrastructure, processes, or systems.
  • Pivot the implementation of proposed improvements, working closely with relevant teams to ensure successful execution and monitoring.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in data analysis, data management, and process optimization.

What do we expect from you?

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or related field. (Master's degree preferred)
  • Proven experience working as a Data Analyst or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or other programming languages used for data analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or matplotlib.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
